I’ll be selling framed curve-stitch pictures at this art fair and they’ll be priced between £30 and £200. I’m having a lot of fun experimenting with new curve-stitch designs and colours – a particularly lovely daffodil yellow got me all giddy during last week’s sunshine. There’s also a lot more than just the art exhibition going on at the fair; there […]
The Valentine’s heart cards and framed pictures are selling really well from Colours May Vary. The neon colours have proved very popular. I’ve also just dropped some off at Chirpy, so you can get hold of them in Chapel Allerton too.
The new framed curve-stitched pictures were a great success at Colours May Vary where lots sold in December. So, Valentine’s Day next! I’ve just delivered a load of heart cards and there are some pictures in the pipeline too. There are other designs available though if you’re not one for all the lovey-dovey stuff. There […]
It was really interesting to be part of an Open Studios event and lovely to get feedback from friends and members of the public, and great to sell some work too. The curve stitched pictures went down really well, here’s how they turned out…
I’m going to be at East Street Arts Open Studios this weekend, 19th and 20th October. I’ll be with the Rayon Rose caravan on Saturday, we’re turning it into a pop-up photo booth with the help of the wonderful Charys and Mindy of Pop Up Photo Booth fame. I’m also sharing Hondartza Fraga’s space at […]
I made some heart cards for Valentines Day. You can find them in Chirpy in Chapel Allerton or Colours May Vary in Leeds City Centre. Full stockist details here.
Curve stitching is a fabulous combination of maths and art. It takes me back to primary school in the 70s and spirograph patterns, which are probably from about the same era but still going strong I believe. I really enjoy making them and they’re proving very popular. I have two stockists in Leeds now, Chirpy in […]
So I posted this photo of a sketch on Twitter/Instagram today and a few people have sent me lovely comments. I thought I was fairly self-confident but apparently not when it comes to art, and particularly drawing (a long time weak spot that I am trying to improve with practise). Bizarrely, my first reactions to […]
There’s been a lot going on since March, and not much updating (raps knuckles) I completed the map mural at St Matthew’s Primary over Easter, they’re going to use it interactively in lots of different ways. I then launched into preparations for The Giant and The Bear in June. We took the Rayon Rose caravan […]
